Maskinen bruger elektrolyse til at omdanne vand (H2O) og almindeligt husholdningssalt (NaCl) til Hypoklorsyre – en uskadelig væske som kaldes for ECA (Electro Chemical Activated) vand eller aktivt klor.
Hypoklorsyre dannes naturligt i mennesker og dyr som et værn mod infektioner, og det er op til 100 gange mere effektivt som desinfektionsmiddel end traditionelle klorforbindelser.
Toucan ECO espray danner på 5 minutter 350 ml ECA ved pH 8,5, og da Hypoklorsyre er kroppens eget desinfektionsmiddel, er det meget sundere at arbejde med, end traditionelle desinfektionsmidler. Der ses ingen reaktion, hvis det f.eks. kommer i øjnene.
ECA er effektivt overfor alle mikroorganismer bl.a. bakterier, skimmel, gær og virus. Adskillige tests på ECA er udført på Teknologisk Institut og på internationale testlaboratorier, alle har vist, at der opnås en drabseffekt på 99,99% ved en opløsning på blot 100ppm, og at det er effektivt mod kappebærende virus som fx SARS-CoV-2, som er den virus, der forårsager COVID-19.
Udover at kunne desinficere har ECA-vand også en rengørende effekt, og det opleves typisk, at overflader fremstår mere skinnende. Denne virkning ses specielt på rustfrit stål, når man samtidig bruger en mikrofiberklud.

How to make
Toucan Eco eSpray makes 350ml of disinfectant cleaner. Simply add 3g of table salt, fill with tap water, then activate, which takes five minutes.
What it’s used for
- Clean and disinfect any surface, including kitchens, bathrooms, fabrics and glass.
- You can use it as a deodoriser as it kills the germs that creates the odour.
- Use as a hand sanitiser as you would any alcohol gel.
- Sterilise children’s toys and clothes safely.
- Spray fresh fruit and vegetables to remove dirt and pesticides, but remember to rinse in fresh water before eating.
- Remove trainer odour by soaking overnight.
